Who we are
Solo Tool Bench (“we”, “us”) is an independent publisher of guides to website builders and small-business website tools. You can reach us at [email protected] or through our contact page.
The short version
- Our only analytics tool is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which, according to Cloudflare, doesn’t use cookies.
- We don’t run ads and we don’t set advertising cookies.
- Our newsletter isn’t live, and the sign-up form doesn’t collect anything.
- If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
- If you click an affiliate link, the company you visit may use cookies to record that you came from us.
Analytics
The only analytics tool we use on this site is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which tells us which pages are read and how people find the site. According to Cloudflare, this service doesn’t use cookies or local storage to collect its data and doesn’t track individual visitors across websites. It shows us totals such as page views, referring sites, country and browser type.
More detail: Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Newsletter
Our newsletter isn’t live yet, and the sign-up form is turned off: it doesn’t collect anything.
We haven’t chosen an email service provider yet. Before the form is switched on, we’ll update this page to name the provider and explain what it stores and how long. We’ll use your email address only to send what you signed up for, and every email will have an unsubscribe link.
Affiliate links
Some pages may contain affiliate links. They start with solotoolbench.com/go/ and forward you to another company’s site. When you arrive there, that company or its affiliate network may use cookies or similar tools to record that you came from us, so it can pay us a commission if you buy. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. See our affiliate disclosure.
If you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Messages sent to [email protected] are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to an inbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so Cloudflare and Google process them on our behalf. We keep messages only as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. If you’d like us to delete your messages, just ask.
Cookies
We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies on this site. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn’t an automated bot. Sites you visit through our links have their own policies.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us and we’ll help. You can also block analytics scripts with your browser or a content blocker. The site works the same without them.
Children
This site is meant for adults running a business. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this page
We’ll update this page when the services we use change, and update the date at the top.
